Terms of Service
Draft, pending legal review. Highlighted details have not been filled in yet, and this text may change before it takes effect.
These terms are an agreement between you and [Registered business name], [Business type, e.g. sole proprietorship or private limited company], of [Registered business address] ("STLmint", "we", "us"). They apply when you use https://stlmint.app, the studio at https://stlmint.app/app, or buy anything from us. If you use STLmint for a business, you accept these terms for that business.
Please also read our Licence (what you may do with files and prints), Refund and Cancellation Policy, Delivery Policy and Privacy Policy. They form part of these terms.
1. What we provide
STLmint turns design templates into personalised 3D-print files. You pick a design, enter your text and options, see a picture rendered from the file, and download it as an STL file or a Bambu Studio 3MF project. You can buy:
- A single file: one design with the exact text and options you entered, paid once.
- The STLmint Seller plan: a subscription at $8 per month that includes files for every design, bulk orders and the right to sell the prints you make, as set out in the Licence.
We sell digital files only. We do not print or ship physical items.
2. Your account
You need an account to buy and download files. Our sign-in is provided by Clerk. Keep your sign-in details secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. One account is for one person or one business, and you may not share it or resell access to it.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to buy from us.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in USD on the site and in the studio before you pay. Payments are handled by our payment processor ([Razorpay or Stripe]); we do not see or store your full card details. Your bank may charge currency conversion or international transaction fees. Taxes are added where the law requires and shown at checkout.
4. The STLmint Seller plan
The STLmint Seller plan renews automatically every month and is charged to your saved payment method until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account or by contacting us; you keep the plan until the end of the period you have paid for, and it is not renewed after that. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
"Unlimited files" means there is no fixed limit on how many files you create for your own orders. It does not cover automated or bulk scraping of the catalogue, sharing your account, or use that overloads the service. We may slow down or limit use that goes beyond what a busy seller would reasonably need, and we will tell you if we do.
We may change the plan price. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before a new price applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
5. The text you enter
You are responsible for the text and options you enter, including spelling. Check the picture before you buy: a single file is made for the exact text you entered, and a file with a typo is not a fault in the file.
Do not enter anything you do not have the right to use, such as another business's trademark or logo, or anything unlawful, hateful or harassing. If you enter other people's names or details (for example your customers'), you are responsible for having their permission. We may refuse to render or sell a file that breaks these rules.
6. Fair use of the service
You must not:
- try to obtain, copy or reconstruct our templates, source files or fonts, including by remodelling them from previews or pictures;
- share, resell, publish or give away the digital files you download, except as the Licence allows;
- use bots, scrapers or scripts against the site or the studio, or try to get around rate limits, payment or access checks;
- interfere with the security or running of the service.
7. Files and printing
We test our templates, and the picture in the studio is rendered from the same file you download. Printed results still depend on your printer, settings and materials. Check each file in your slicer and print a sample before taking a large order. We are not responsible for failed prints, material costs or printer time, or for orders you take from your own customers.
8. Changes to the service
We may add, change or retire designs and features. If we retire a design you have bought, you can still download the files you bought. If we ever close the service, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email so you can download your files.
9. Our rights
The site, the studio, our templates, design files, pictures, text and the STLmint name belong to us or our licensors. Apart from the rights in the Licence, these terms do not give you any rights in them.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, misuses the service or is used for fraud. Where it is fair to do so, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to put things right. You can close your account at any time by contacting us.
11. Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits, lost orders or lost business, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
12. Your responsibility for what you sell
If you sell prints made from our files, you are the seller of those products. You are responsible for your listings, product safety (for example small parts and children's items), taxes, and for dealing with your own customers. You agree to cover our reasonable costs if a claim is made against us because of products you sold or text you entered in breach of these terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by [Governing law, e.g. the laws of India]. The courts at [City whose courts have jurisdiction] have jurisdiction, but if you are a consumer you may also bring a claim in the courts where you live. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue; see Contact and Grievances.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for significant changes, email account holders before they apply. If you keep using the service after the change, the new terms apply.
